Grow long mermaid hair with the superfood from the sea: spirulina. This post talks about the benefits and how to use spirulina for hair growth!
Spirulina, the Superfood from the Sea
Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is even believed to be one of the oldest life forms on Planet Earth.
It naturally grows in oceans, lakes and other waterbodies like ponds.
Long ago, it was actually a food source for the Aztecs and other Mesoamericans until the 16th century when the Spanish conquered Mexico.
Spanish storytellers described local Aztec fishermen collecting blue-colored ‘techuitlatl’, the Aztec name for spirulina, from the lagoons.
It was then drained of water and spread out in the sandy shore of the waterbody for sun drying.

The reason why spirulina is hailed as a superfood is because it is RICH in a boatload of nutrients.
