Benefits of Aloe Vera for Oily Skin
Aloe vera has many amazing skin properties but the most important ones are listed below:
1. Hydrates Skin
Aloe vera gel is one of the best natural substances that gives skin the most hydration. This is because of the presence of lignin, a substance that helps it penetrate easily into the deeper layers of skin.
By quickly sinking into the skin, it delivers beneficial nutrients including essential amino acids, vitamins and phytochemicals.
2. Has an Astringent Effect
When applied on skin, aloe vera has an immediate skin tightening effects. This is because of its astringent properties that make skin taut and shrink large pores.
Astringent products help reduce oily skin and minimize the appearance of large pores that contribute to more oils being pushed out of the oil glands in the skin.
3. Rejuvenates Skin
Aloe vera boosts the production of fibroplastic fibers found in the dermis, or second layer of the skin, by 7-8 times the normal rate.
It also promotes the reproduction of collagen, thereby smoothing away existing wrinkles and fine lines.
Applying aloe vera gel on your skin helps stimulate the growth of new epithelial cells and increase cell renewal and turnover which delay premature aging.
4. Balances Skin pH
Aloe vera contains amino acids and trace elements that naturally regulate the skin’s pH, which helps prevent or reduce skin troubles such as inflammation and acne.
